If KC can't hit this guy well they should just relegate themselves to AAA this year.

That said, I'm excited for this game, another chance to see Davidson against a LHP. Leury Garcia is also impressing me I hope he keeps starting in CF. I never saw him as anything but a 25th man but maybe he can be a decent 4th OF or even part time starter.

Covey had a decent first game and sucked in his second start. I have concerns about a sinker ball pitcher leaving lots of pitches up in the zone. He did in both games

Kind of surprised Narvaez is in the lineup vs. the lefty and not Soto...is he hurt again maybe?

Especially with the day game tomorrow and a righty being on the mound.

Ugh i have to watch the KC broadcast.. cant stand them

great play from Sanchez.

Idiot Covey going to get one of our guys hurt

Sinkerballer that can't keep the ball down, that's ... a bad combo.

he just sucks. Why did the Sox spend a rule 5 pick on this guy?

Benetti kind of sucks out the energy of nice plays by yelling like it's the last out of the world series every time the Sox do something well...idk just my opinion

Covey is just not good. So many rec projects or rule 5 flyers they could have gone with ahead of him.

I will keep saying it but I saw him in spring and he didn't even look like he'd have much success in AAA. Was sitting 89-91 with a flat breaking ball and a change that didn't look that much different from his fastball.

At least he defends the position I guess!

Hes gone when Shields comes back imo

He's up with everything. Not a good pitcher at all, but oh well

7.9 K/9 v 5.2 BB/9 at AA as a 25 year-old. MiLB career 6.4 K/9 v 2.9 BB/9. Good grounder rate but nothing else that would indicate major-league success. Waste of time.

Ump better give us that same strikezone.

f***ing umps

Thank god Gordon sucks now.

How is every hitter getting jammed by this guy?

Pathetic.

How is Alex Avila awesome now?

Covey...stop it

Because he throws over 90mph, which means Sox can't hit him. No surprise the pitchers they've hit well are soft tossers
