Sox story in S.I...

Page 21 in this week's issue called, "The Case for the White Sox" by Jeremy Fuchs.

It ends, "But there is plenty of reason to hope. And in a city that knows how to be patient with its baseball teams, a little more waiting could result in the South Side team soon having a party of its own..."

Let the rebuild continue...slow and steady.

Yes. All the usual suspects have already jumped on the go for it train, but they are still wrong.

Absolutely... STAY THE COURSE

This start is fun, but it's fools gold, like it is every year.

Need more quality offensive prospects.

Until last year we hadn't had a good April in a long time.

Stay the course for sure. But somehow watching this team I feel like it's hands down better than last year's, somehow. Losing 10 WAR in two players tells me otherwise but maybe Renteria is worth about 6.5-7 WAR. I dunno. The bullpen is also lights out. They are killers right now. Can't believe Rodon is coming back too. Done rambling.

Give it time. The bullpen started the year lights out last season as well.

I have faith that this team will start to suck at a high level soon.

Even with the team overperforming as it is, we're not that far above .500 and we're just leading the Wild Card race.

I'm as confident as ever that the rebuild will continue.

Very true. Probably shouldn't have specified "start."

But this team has a habit of playing well enough to get people believing. Sooner or later, reality sets in.

- Two years ago this mediocre team won 7 or 8 straight at the end of July. Instead of trading Samardzija and others, they stood pat. Once the deadline passed the team crumbled.

- Robin's first season as manager... need I say more?

- We are rapidly approaching the 20th anniversary of the White Flag Trade. THAT TEAM SUCKED. Anybody who seriously thought that group had a shot at the postseason was either high or stupid. It wasn't a great trade, but it was one that needed to be made.
