I probably need professional help. Whenever I see the post desiring a loss I just want people to re-examine their thought process on the matter. It also angers me probably more than it should anger any human, considering all the more important issues in the world to get upset about.

 

I don't like to see the Sox lose either HOWEVER given the parameters of the organization both self-imposed and because of things outside their control, I don't see anything else they could have done so I accept the reality of what is and hope for the best. Given the current situation, losing may (notice I said may) turn out to be the best in the long run. What I do know in fact and what history has shown the past 10 years is that the "stars and s***" approach to putting together a club wasn't working.

 

I'm still interested to read any specifics suggestions that you think the Sox could have done otherwise.

You are a Sox expert and I respect that. So in 200 words or less tell me your opinion of the MLB Draft as it relates to building a team. My contention has been Alvarez went second (LOL) Sale went 13th (hmmm) and Trout 23rd so my contention has been basically you can get a great player in round one no matter what (if u have good scouts/organization) and dont really need to tank at all cause the draft is a TOTAL crapshoot. Again, I defer to you as a Soxnet writer. You know your s***.

Do batters ever "learn" how to become patient? Just wondering. I know Ozzie as a hitter never learned how to lay off pitches. He swung swung swung. Can you learn how to walk consistently?

I really truly think Big Hurt should be our hitting consultant forever. He had the best approach.
