Was really hoping for Q to be friday, but I guess I'll have to live with Jimmy Shields. I guess they really are trying to not have Q pitch the 31st or 30th...are they close to making a deal??? It also buys them some more time to trade him before he could hurt himself or his stock, although performance-wise, unless he was just Jon Lester Sunday bad, I don't think a bad start does anything to his value. I assume Shields, Gonzo and Pelfrey are staying put. Rodon, Shields, Gonzo, Pelfrey and Covey? With Lopez waiting in the wings if they find any takers on Gonzo, Shields, or Pelfrey in August.
