The Commissioner's Office decreed that no clubhouse or dugout can have television monitors because of the Seattle protest about the Red Sox having a flat screen TV in the bullpen. Incidentally, when the ban was instituted, the Red Sox had a better record, higher batting average, more home runs per game and .7 more runs a game without the TV on in the 'pen. Excuses, excuses.

Yeah, but it makes sense. You can just go over to the bullpen, steal some signs, and then relay them around next inning or what-not.

True, but the clubhouse can't have tv's now? What! Barry Bonds has a huge tv in his locker, I've given up trying to understand the rules baseball makes.

I wonder what they are going to do with all those tv's. I could sure use a new tv to replace the 18 incher in my dorm.

Clubhouses cannot have television monitors. Didn't say they can't have TVs.

Mariners pitched a fit during their last trip to Fenway.

basically charged BoSox with stealing signs from the bullpen.

TV and montior are same thing in my eyes.

Yes but now you are allowed to use Flat screen TV's for BP.

I am pretty sure they are referring to the game being on. MLB is n ot going to dictate whether a team can have a TV in the clubhouse if all the guys want to watch Trading Spaces!

As long as they're not made out of aluminum.

No. TV's can be excluded from the game feeds.
