Ducksnort
This team may actually finish with a .500 record in April. Among the teams they face in April: 7 games against KC, 3 against Detroit, 3 against TB, and 3 against Oakland. All very beatable teams by this year's standards and certainly next year's (even if Oakland always beats us). I believe the Sox are actually better than KC and Detroit. CaliSoxFanViaSWside
QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 12, 2017 -> 10:11 AM) 20 off days besides the four day break, and they still have a stretch of 33 games in 34 days. June 5 - July 8. Scheduling 2,430 games for 30 teams is a tough thing. It would make so much more sense going back to the 154 game schedule with more teams in the playoffs . I know it will never happen but hell games are too long, season is too long. Is baseball purposefully trying to destroy itself ? Pitchers seem to suffer the most. Toss in Hawks rants on his theory of tight seams on baseballs causing a lot of pitchers injuries and long season and pitchers are getting destroyed . I believe the Royals will be losing Moustakas, Hosmer, and Cain. It's quite likely the Sox are better than KC simply because KC is dogcrap. soxforlife05
Cubs/Sox games over a weekend during football season? Why?
flavum
QUOTE (soxforlife05 @ Sep 13, 2017 -> 04:57 PM) Cubs/Sox games over a weekend during football season? Why? Why not? The Sox get 14 weekend series instead of 13, and they'll draw better than any other September series.
3GamesToLove
I'm thinking of attending Opening Day in KC--anyone ever done opening day on the road before? I can't figure out if it would be cool or awful.
Wanne
QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Sep 12, 2017 -> 10:19 AM) Sox vs Cubs in late September seems odd. completely ridiculous if you ask me. However...how sweet would that be if the Cubs were vying for a playoff spot and the Sox knocked them out of contention.
Bob Sacamano
QUOTE (Wanne @ Sep 28, 2017 -> 11:08 AM) completely ridiculous if you ask me. However...how sweet would that be if the Cubs were vying for a playoff spot and the Sox knocked them out of contention. That would be awesome...but could also suck to see them clinch on our field
