Houston has been shedding scouts, I'm assuming they are replacing them with analysts.

 

Anyhoo, in August when that started we talked about wanting sox to add those guys. it appears we have added one.

I recall that as well.

Will be interesting to see what slant on analytics he brings over. Houston really believes in their plan.

Let's just say I' hope he gets to download what houston was doing with pro scouting even though he's moving into player development.

 

But I'm sure we have no idea how big player dev has been built out last year. Would be interesting things to get out of soxfest.

Getting any folks connected with a winning organization is a plus in my book regardless of position.

Yep. Good move. Poach away. Also they probably had ot give him a nice little salary/position boost to get him to leave the 'Stros. Good to see the resources saved on the MLB payroll being invested when it makes sense back into the club.
