June 20, 20196 yr I’m all for lineup projections, but please don’t include Tilson in it. RF should be a position where a powerful lefty is added.

Makes it so Moncada and Leury don't see enough chances with RISP. Maybe, but remember the leadoff guy and second guy should be OBP guys first. Their job in a configuration like the one I was bringing up was not to drive in runs. They exist almost entirely to get on base. So theoretically you want your three worst guys to bat before the top of the order because the top of the order gets on base.

June 20, 20196 yr Actually its good to have on base guys at the end of the batting order as well, especially in the 9 hole, just not as good as the 1 and 2 spot, so that way the lineup can be turned over to the top of the order. If we have free swingers, players who like to hit a HR or K, should be in the 6th,7th and 8th spot. Tim Anderson has shown he is more of a free swinger. Edited June 20, 20196 yr by Chisox378

TA, love him, great player, turned into a borderline star so far this year but he needs to be 6th long term. Or maybe 7th. The worst hitter should be 8th and hell it might be Madrigal if things keep panning out prospect wise.

He will move quickly to leadoff or 2nd in the order long term.
