But they didn’t have Moncada available and proceeded to try to bunt their way to a victory with runners and 2nd and 3rd base with no outs.  It was ridiculous.

Yeah I agree the bunting is dumb, but the lineup construction with Moncada in it originally wasn't terrible as the poster suggested

That decision in the 8th, with Abreu scuffling, makes even less sense now because Goins was up next instead of Moncada...unless Goins is now our most trustworthy “clutch” hitter and Renteria overlooked the GIDP possibility likelihood staring him right in the face.
