They get blocked by morons like Rex Hudler or downers like John Smoltz who bring nothing to the broadcast. One of my old classmates is one of two female broadcasters in minor league baseball and I wonder if she'll ever get to do an MLB game. She's good at her job, even with no color commentator, but people like Farmer stay in the booth for eons, long past the expiration date. But yeah, DiCaro's tweet is off-base.
