Just goes to show you who the real fans are... Remember the people around you who have sold out.

this city is really starting to piss me off

Nothing in Heaven or on Earth can make me root for the Cubs. Simple as that, why root for a team you don't like? I am the only one I know of against the Cubs though. I spoke to two of my Sox buddies the other night (they even have their whole basement done in Sox memorabilia), and even they are pulling for the Cubs. It was a dagger to my heart. But I am all there is, and I will give up on baseball before I will cheer on the Cubs. There is no alternative.

This city pissed me off looooooong ago!

No one who cheers for the Cubs under any circumstance should be considered a Sox fan.

Sox fans hate the Cubs, it's in our blood.

The day I root for the Cubs is the day everyone I know has my permission to shoot me.

Ditto.

There are some Sox fans who cheer for the Cubs, and that's okay. I have no problem with consistent cross-cheering. Maybe I'm wrong for that, but it just doesn't bug me if someone enjoys both brands of ball ( NL and AL ).

It's the pathetic front-running sheep, who are so depserate to be part of something that they jump on any bandwagon that rolls by, that bug me.

It's THAT type of "Sox fan" who would scurry up to a reporter and crow on and on about wanting the Cubs to win, "for the city", or some such s***.

I'm cheering for the Cubbies

I'm cheering for them to strike out

I'm cheering for them to fly out

I'm cheering for them to ground out

I'm cheering every error

I'm cheering every go-fer ball

I'm their biggest fan! :headbang

No way, no how. Atleast they keep good company, ya know a convict and all.

No, they are still great friends, just a little misguided in these trying times. But the he of them (it's a married couple) does drums for me, and we have been through the standard tough times band members will face, and no sport can step in the way of that. :D
