Half Empty Half Full Thoughts

Rookies and younger players are inconsistent and streaky.

This may just be the greatest opportunity to be a rookie.  Rookies hit a wall in a traditional season. This year the WS would be over before the traditional - I've never played this many games in one year, damn I'm tired, and sore, and can't stay focused, what the hell city am I in, slump hits.

I think your glass is more than half empty Tex!

I was pessimistic and thinking there is a losing streak coming.

Wheeler is starting for Phillies soon...against NYY.  Greatest “what if” of the offseason.

Glass half full with hitting and half empty or more with pitching.

I liked a few  of Milwaukee's pitchers during the 4 game series.  I would trade Collins for Peralta if they would do it.  They seem like they could spare one of them.

It would take a LOT more than that.

Lauer is being inserted into the rotation, but he's a journeyman/AAAA with pedestrian stuff.

Think they want to convert Peralta into a 2-3 inning shutdown guy who can be inserted at any critical point from the 5th innings on.

Plus they have Braun, and Manny Pina, best defensive catcher in baseball, along with Omar Narvaez.    Collins is completely superfluous on that roster.

Omar looks like he put on a few pounds and he is not going to hit many home runs. . Pina is 33 and has limited power.

No, they could use a young LH hitting catching prospect  with power

We could too, if the Sox didn't sign Grandal.

Except pretty much nobody in baseball trusts Collins as a catcher for 65-75% of games
