well i dont think they went from never kissing to home run in one night, or a triple for that matter, i would say they definitly held hands, probably kissed and if it was very romantic they might have got to second base

What about 'their arms brushed against each other once,' or 'they slept in the same house.'

 

I am going to go with third base, that is basically a given now adays, and I am not sure what kind of relationship they have.
