I think you guys may have overhyped some of their young talent as of now. I am not saying they will not be good, just not yet.

I never thought they'd be a Cup contender this year.

I thought with a little luck they MIGHT sneak into the playoffs.

What I'm disappointed with so far is the lack of aggressiveness.

They look lost much of the time, and they have ZERO offense. I expected that, but I was HOPING that someone would step up and force the play in the offensive zone.

 

3-1 at the end of the first - Sullivan scores in the last minute of the period on a short-handed breakaway.

I don't understand all the Ruutu hype. In the games I've seen, he's been invisible. I'll tell you who has impressed me though. Pavel Vorobiev. He was the only one out in Columbus who made an impression. He was flying out there and showed some flashes.

 

It's going to be a rough year.

It's really cool to see some of the Wolves playing up in Atlanta.

The Wolves play the game the right way, and I hope those guys like Pasi Nurminen ( sp? ) and JP Vigier have some success at the NHL level.

I didn't mean the team as a whole, I meant the youngsters, ie Ruutu and all of them.

Anyone who would pay thousands of dollars for season tickets and parking and concessions to Dollar Bill Wirtz is the very defenition of a sucker. The slackhawks could lose all 82 games & he wouldn't give a s*** as long as he gets 10000 suckers to pad his pockets every game.

You know what really sucks about all this is that Brian Sutter will probably be fired during or right after this season. It really will suck to see him take a fall for really is the fault of Mike Smithov and those above.

At least the Hawks have a couple wins. My team (Hurricanes) hasn't done better than a tie. That's what happens when you have no one that can score and a goalie that can't stop the puck.
