Took awhile, but the Sox finally have a HR in their org post ASB

Vera continuing to miss bats at a ridiculous clip in Kanny. 2 scoreless innings with 4 K's for him so far.

Burke vs Bachman is a fun pitching match-up tonight in the Barons game.

Vera through 4, 7 K's.

Colas HR. He's 2-2.

2 HR tonight for Carlos Perez, one each for Mieses and Ramos.

Parkel Markel just walked 4 guys in 2/3 of an inning to break the tie.  As the song says, "Please release him, let him go..."

Could this young savage be in AAA by the end of the year?

There's no reason he should be in low A at this point. He's clowning hitters.

Charlotte came back. Sosa drives in the lead run.

Charlotte wins. Dan Winker got 3 outs in the 9th. Forgot what that was like.

If a pitcher can strike guys out, the Sox will keep him on the 40 man for as long as possible.  Also see Aybar, Yoan.

Sosa should be the team's 2B next year; one thing the scouts have done well in the last decade or so is find middle infielders (even though FO may not recognize it).
