I NEED a decent bat .750 OPS and a decent fielder his rookie year.  Those two combined will make him our best right fielder sinceeee probably Dye.

Adam Eaton had a couple good years.

ah yes, wasn't only one in RF?  I admittedly forgot he played there a year

I don't know what to expect; but they absolutely need him to be a productive player.  He and the Cease improvement are it the last few seasons.  Baseball teams get old and stale fast  If he doesn't, it's hoping and praying that the rest return to 2023 form and that other teams haven't gotten better around them.

Need:  Average or better defense

Want:  .800 OPS vs RHP.  If the team is in the hunt you should be able to find a legitimate platoon partner for him at the deadline and would then end up with nice production at RF.

He hit .362/.417/.533 against left handers last year

His last season in Chicago (not counting 2021), when he was statistically the best defensive RF in the league and earned himself a trade to the Nats.

I need him to make me forget about right field being a giant gaping hole of suck. I don't want to worry about every damn routine fly ball. I want to actually think there is a chance at home on singles with a runner on second. I don't want to be thinking about whose playing right while he's on the 60 day.

All I need from Colas is average. Be average with the glove and be average at the plate and you’ll be the best RF the Sox have had in sometime.
