MLB.com rankings...so impressed with White Sox that they remained 26th behind the Tigers

Sox frankly have a high ceiling of .500; it also could go the other way as we're well aware and they could finish 20 below. Not 30-40 below like the Royals.

The season is still young and the Sox hypothetically could finish 30-35 games under. If the Sox are clearly out of the race near the trade deadline and actually do the smart thing, which is to be major sellers, along with bringing up several AAA players to replace the traded away players, then I could see the Sox letting this season go off the rails badly.

It'll just be a season of "meh" - 74 wins give or take a couple.

The Twins at #10 is a joke.

They should be 13-15 range, where the other shitty division leaders reside (Milwaukee and Pittsburgh). Milwaukee was swept by the A’s, Pittsburgh in first by one.

Honestly the Top 8 teams are the only ones legitimately good. The other 22 are mediocre or horseshit.

I can understand Detroit ahead of the Sox.
Tigers are in the midst of a 9 game losing streak, and the best Sox streak of the season just ended.  And despite that disparity, the Sox are only 1 game ahead of the Tigers.

Tigers just managed to pull back within one half game of the White Sox after losing nine consecutive games.

Of course, they mounted a pretty miraculous comeback against the Braves (of all teams) playing at Comerica.

Does that mean the A's are going to take it to the Rays, too?
