When Madrigal first came up to Sox, he had trouble with the throw to first, ala Steve Sax. I know it was psychological, but still, I had my doubts right then.

His baserunning/fundamental mistakes...overestimating his speed and range, lack of arm strength, lack of power/pull ability as a hitter, all those signs were evident pretty quickly.

It's almost like there should be a way for players to play competitive games in some league other than the big leagues so that they can improve their baseball skills.

I wonder if anyone has thought about that.

For once not just a white Sox criticism - I wonder how much 2020 contributed to the poor results of that 2018 first round (2019 looks great, so it’s not just a simple answer, but with thinking about).

I don’t disagree.
