The false/fake rumor of a time out or cooling off (as suggested by Bill Ackman and others) period was what caused the market to dramatically whip saw back and forth.

And a $41 trillion national debt if the H/S budget bills are miraculously reconciled this week won't exactly boost confidence, either.
