I think the best part about the "single decision maker" thing is that we know who to blame if it was the wrong decision. Chris Getz made the decision to draft Hagen Smith. It was his first selection, he was the most comfortable in his development staff turning Smith into a good player and he needed to hit on his first selection. I'm good with the decision but I like that we know who made it. I think the scouting director would've taken a bat, saved money and spread out the bonus pool.
