June 21, 2025Jun 21 I had a couple questions and thought Vargas deserved his own thread since he is starting to distance himself as a possible star. Do you think Vargas is a potential star? Has he passed Robert as our top everyday player? And potential player? Or instead of vaulting from a .235 hitter with 10 homers and 35 RBI get into a skid that puts him where most of our players are: .210, no power, no clutch hits? What do you say? Is 25 year old Vargas a super stud? Should we start to get excited and look forward to his at bats? I would say he is close to emerging as a guy you'd pay to watch play. Forgive me for starting a new thread but it seemed to me Vargas is close to distinguishing himself as a positive on a team full of negatives. And he could be a feather in Getz's cap.
June 21, 2025Jun 21 As of now I would guess Shane Smith. There are WAY more good corner players and you need a ton of pitchers
June 21, 2025Jun 21 .239 and .748 with erratic defense doesn't equal AL All Star at a deep deep position.
