New White Sox book...

Recommended Posts

Was just given some information about a new White Sox book coming out, and no...I had nothing to do with it 😆

Here is the basic information:

The official title is "White Sox Redemption - The Road to World Series Victory in 2005." McFarland Publishing. It will be on Amazon, and possibly other locations. I don't have a release date yet but it will be soon.

Dan Helpingstine is the author, he has done four or five previous books on the Sox.

So you have this book and the Jeff Torborg documentary on You Tube both coming out soon to help get you through the rest of this season.

Just received my advanced copy of Dan's book and I look forward to reading it.

Was impressed in the acknowledgment page that Scott Reifert of the White Sox and Mark "Gonzo" Gonzales who covered the Sox for the Chicago Tribune that season participated and actively helped in the making of the book.

ok then how bout 2023

2023 would be more well suited to a movie. any number of manly action stars could play Yas Grandal. he jumps out of the hot tub and punches a guy; that could easily be Tom Hardy doing that

We need a book about 2024

I collect White Sox items. I've been trying to get an autographed 2024 White Sox team baseball without any success. Even my season ticket rep couldn't help me.

Given the number of stiffs, has-been's, injury prone guys and retreads totaling 63 players overall, you'd need a softball or maybe a basketball to fit all their names!

He’s a good writer, looking forward to it. I’m actually surprised he hasn’t already written about the WS team.

Thanks for the compliment and interest. I actually did a book for the tenth anniversary, but the publisher turned out to be a fraud and the project fell apart.
