The rest of the pitching was the pits especially the bullpen.

It’s the hitting that’s killing us, last in OPS, last in BA, second to last in homers, second to last in runs and the list goes on. I thought they were in the process of turning things around with the bats in late May and June but just about all the young prospects have regressed since then. The bats have come around this weekend but we’re playing the Pirates, the Rays are up next and let’s see what they do in TB. Venable is better than Grifol which isn’t saying a lot, he’s had some bad moments but the team hasn’t quit on him and hopefully he gets better with experience. I’m optimistic like you and think the kids will also get better with experience and we should be a .500 team in 2027. Theres also the possibility that Ishiba takes over sooner than 2029 and he goes out and signs some quality free agents which could really help things along. I was impressed with Gonzalez last night, let's see what he can do if the Trade Dead Line opens up some roster spots. The Sox have some defensive flexibility with the youngsters, Montgomery, Meidroth, and Baldwin. The Robert jr Bon Voyage Tour is starting out spectacular.
