Snopek
Radio hosts are generally known for having measured and rational takes. Benetti for Houser and Wilson?

Yeah, several of the comments to the article say the radio host who said this is a loud-mouthed blowhard. I know, shocking that this is the case for a local sports radio host. Hey, I'd take Benetti back in exchange for Schriffen straight up in a heartbeat. But that'll never happen while Jerry is still owner.

As a Michigander I know all about Caputo, who is a blowhard asswipe, even for a sports talk host and columnist. But his critique of Jason is 100% spot on and made me literally lol a couple times. Jason does approach every game like he's God's Gift to Humor, and it just wears thin over 162 -- especially when the team is playing like s%*#. As I just said in the game thread, Jason is like a good cup of coffee that's perfectly good before someone dumped 4 sugars in and screwed it up. Some people like 4 sugars all the time others prefer it a little more buttoned up. As a play by play guy, you gotta find the balance. For awhile, Hawk and Whimpy had a great balance. Whimpy could laugh at himself and even would make Hawk laugh at himself. But both guys were serious baseball folks when it was called for in big moments and games.
Sox guy
I heard that the reason JR and Brooks Boyer didn't care for him was because they were ableists. They didn't want someone disabled there. How much of that rumor is true. Man, how great would it be to have JB calling this exciting group of prospects right now. Ugh, miss the guy. He had a true White Sox voice, akin to Gary Thorne IMO, who was a great fit with us.

Nah, Jason was and still is a fairly rising star and JR like usual felt a cheaper option was the go to when he wanted a raise.

This is what I was told started to poison the waters between Jason and Brooks: “Jason Benetti’s deal with the Sox is up, the Sox hold the option for the 2023 and 2024 seasons. He went to Fox to negotiate that deal with them after he was told to do it and then come back to the Sox and they’d work something out. Jason wanted to get the deal done with the Sox first and then go to Fox or ESPN or whoever. Turns out when he came back to the Sox and said that he needs 40 days off so he can do the Fox work he was told, ‘no, that’s not happening.’ So I don’t know what’s going to happen to him or Steve Stone.”
caulfield12
Nothing to see here. More aimed at Dirks and Simmons.
