WestEddy
The Cincinnati Reds acquire Pirates 3B Ke’Bryan Hayes for prospects Sammy Stafura and Taylor Rogers in biggest deal of the week — Bob Nightengale (@BNightengale) July 30, 2025 Edited July 30 by WestEddy
Kyyle23
Pittsburgh really is a joke. Just a constant outflow of talent, nothing retained, nice stadium 2
Bob Sacamano
Yeah what did this move do for them? Shed some salary for the next 4-5 years (signed for 4 with a 5th year option)?

To be fair, his power has completely vanished.

WestEddy
Weird. Stafura was MLB's #9 prospect in the Reds' system, and FanGraphs didn't have him in Cincy's top 45.

BamaDoc
Hayes OPS+ 59 this year and 61 last and owed 9 million a year for 4 yrs with back issues. Rogers a flip candidate while Stafura is a 50FV shortstop. I think huge win for Pittsburgh. Small market/dollar spender gets out from contract. Like someone giving us a good prospect for Benintendi. I thought Rogers was flipped but it turns out his twin was dealt to the Mets. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/07/mets-to-acquire-tyler-rogers.html
