Padres then had an Extras lead 4-3 after Matsui somehow survived the 9th and managed to blow that as well with a Bogaerts fieldng error at SS.

I didn't know there was an error. I saw that Matsui got out of it in the 10th and that they had a lead in extras. I just thought the Rays kept hitting.

That’s pretty sad and in poor taste, whether it was truly his wife’s idea or his. Definitely not worth looking like a cheapskate with what he’s about to sign for.
