Guardado

Featured Replies

I was just watching the local news here in Boston and the sportscaster mentioned that Eddie Guardado told the Red Sox he'd be willing to come here for less money if he was guaranteed the closer job. This only muddies up the whole situation even further, but I'd certainly love to see Steady Eddie elsewhere next year. These next couple weeks are certainly going to be crazy....

By the way - the Boston media is going F***ING NUTS over the Manny/A-Rod trade. Its all they talked about the past week....

A top priority of the Twins during this offseason was to resign Guardado. If he does infact sign with Boston the Minnesota bullpen will become a joke.

I hope he does end up goin to Boston for sure, and I think he'd be a betta option for em than Keith Foulke, who'll then resign in Oakland in all likelihood. Minnesota's pen is turnin from their strength into their weakness now. :headbang

Maybe we can trade them William to get some strength back into that pen...

If the Twins lose their best two relievers, this division is looking more and more likely to go our way.

But we shouldn't sit pat and hope to win by default.

The Twins will come up with guys we never heard of and still spank the Sox unless we revamp and spark the Sox. KW is the guy we need. He's trying to be Boston/Yankee aggressive with small market money. The next few days should be interesting.

EXACTLY right, but the longer they sit and wait, the more it looks like they're hoping that Minny will downsize themselves out of the race.

Problem is, if the Sox don't OWN KC next year, and if KC wasn't a fluke, it could just become a matter of finishing second behind a different team.

Look, mark me down, the Chi Sox will win the division and KC will be in second, with Minnesota BEHIND Cleveland. Also, mark me down that Cleveland will be the KC of 2003 in 2004.
