well, so far, Worrell, Lightenberg, Stairs and the guys of our own we are not signing have all been too rich for our blood. So, I'm guessing we won't be spending a lot of money on free agents. Call it a wild hunch.

That would be great. Guillen knows Garcia, & Don Cooper could work with Garcia and bring him along slowly. With Buerhle already the staff ace (by default) & Loaiza as the probable 2, Garcia wouldn't have any pressure of carrying a staff.

For a team crying poor, I think Garcia is way too big of a risk. He's gonna get around 8 mill next year and unless the Mariners take Konerko for him, it just doesn't make sense.

Also the chances of him being non-tendered are slim to nil, I think y'all are getting suckered into another clubs pressure tactics to get a player to avoid arb.
