December 14, 200322 yr We need to rebuild the whole system. We have drafted some key position players, but pitching is always the best place to start.
December 14, 200322 yr I agree, but the minor leagues are becoming less and less fruitfull for the team that drafts them. By the time you home grow a pitcher and he's on your 25 man roster, the money issue kicks in and adios. How many picks out of your first 10 round picks would you package for a; Maggs? I'd give you all of them Lee? at least 6 Buerhle? at least 8 I'm too old to get excited about draft picks.
