White Sox trade Valentin (5 mil) Konerko (8 mil) and Koch (6 mil) to the Rangers for A-Rod (25 mil) and 6 mil cash.

 

Thus this season's payroll is around 60 mil (Releaving themselves of 19 mil + 6 mil in cash and adding 25 mil).. they dump Thomas and Maggs this offseason for a savings of 20 mil and have A-Rod tied up for the next 7 yrs.

Not a bad thought, not sure why Texas would want anything to do with Konerko though. They're loaded with hitters, they would want pitching.
