this was from 12/22 they signed jackson and santiago on the same day. I like both of these moves they dont hurt

Whatever happened to Mike Jackson, he was a pretty good reliever, but i didn't hear s*** about him in 2003.

he was a twinki

Sorry Ish, that was all ready posted on another thread b someone. And Mac, ackson was excellent until 2000 when he had surgury on his right shoulder. He hasn't been the same ever since.

He was the closer for the Tribe in '99, right? Anyway, i remember him being a pretty good pitcher, hopefully he has one good season left in him.

Topic stealer. :D

So they signed him like 15 days ago????

If so, good move. I don't know what he's done lately, but he's always been a pretty good reliever, with good stuff and I've always heard he was a great clubhouse guy.

He was good in MVP Baseball 2003. Sorry I'm runnin out of nice things to say bout da guy. ;)

I hope they play his hit song "Thriller" when he runs in from the pen.

Good move, he's a solid RP.

1998 too.

As someone said, his shoulder went to s*** in 2000, came back in 01 and had a sub-par, but expectededly bad year, then went to Minnesota and logged in 55 solid innings(3.27 ERA, little better then a 2:1 K-BB ratio with 29 K's which is only like 1 K every 2 innings, so nothing spectacular)

I'm not sure where he was last year though.

So what's up with them signing guys and no one knowing about it? IS the Robert Person signing confirmed? I feel a little better about the offseason knowing that they have done something, although its not much. I see EVERY other single club making moves. Even the DRays and Tigers are making noteworthy moves this winter.

Their Minor League contracts, so not big news........

I know they're not big news, but ESPN.com and MLB.com lists ALL transactions, and I can't find either of these anywhere. I casn't imagine that both of these signings could just come up and bite us in the ass today with no word on any official site about it.

For any Sox transactions to sneak past this group is astounding!
