Dan Marino steps down...

Featured Replies

from his job w/ the Dolphins that he just accepted a few weeks ago. Just on Sportscenter.

???

That explains why he was doing the superbowl. I kept wondering what the hell he was doing on air, if he was going to be the GM. I understand that he had prior commitments, but I'd think CBS would of let him lose so he could get to work.

Its not like a gm can really take a few weeks off, right after getting hired.

Yeah, someone couldn't handle the pressure.

It's tough when you don't actually have any power, like Marino, and the are asked on Worldwide TV during the super bowl, whether it's just a figurehead position. You could tell from his response to the questions, that he had already made up his mind.

This could save Dave Wannstadt's job in the near future, u could tell Marino was neva a big fan of his. They prob. won't go for a QB like Rivers early now as well I'd think.

He said it was family commitments that wouldn't let him do that job.

I was surprised hew ever took the job; he's got to love what he does now.

I don't think he was suited for the position for it in the first place. Thats some funny s*** there.
