White Sox Wins

Featured Replies

If the season were to start tomorrow, everything fell into place for the Sox, how many wins do you think they would have at the end of the season? Call it unrealistic, or even stupid if you may, but I'm going to say 104. Feel free to disagree. This is just my opinion.

For 104 wins, both BC and MB would have to win at least 20 and JG and DW would have to win, in my estimation, at least 17. You'd also be putting enormous pressure on your "yet-to-be-named" number 5 starter..... who would have to win anywhere in the number or 12-15. That leaves approximately 15 additional wins for the bullpen to pick up as the season goes on. 104 wins is possible only if pitching, offense, and practically errorless baseball are played by the White Sox the entire season..... and no injuries that sideline a player for an extended period of time. My opinion..... 90-95. Colon should be good for at least 5 more additional White Sox wins this season and JG and DW should improve also..... hopefully.

agreed Cubkilla,

I see us winning about 89-91, 95 tops.

104 is a little high, 93-95 is my guess, if KW and JM do not mess it up.

I say we can pull off a solid 95 thanks to a regular pounding of our Central Division foes.

96 wins regular season and 11 in post season.

;) Very nice I almost forgot the postseason. Put me down for 11 W's as well.

97 wins...19 from the bullpen

I'd say 95-100....I really like our team as a whole. We are very balanced....the worst area of our game is our bench....and that should be solved by the end of July, somehow, someway.

I'll say 90-95, 100 is possible if 3-5 starters step-up.

161-1 the one loss to the Cubs because the Sox felt sorry for them and let them.

Seriously though I see them winning between 93-97 wins.

78 or 92? just wondering why the big shift in wins

I either see us being a flop or just having a solid year.

Straight up pessimistic is what that is. :nono

I'm cautiously optimistic, I'll go with 88 to 92 wins.
