February 16, 200422 yr You guys should check this out. I think it is kind of cool. REAL pricey, but cool none the less. It is a replice of Old Comiskey. Old Comiskey on E-Bay
February 16, 200422 yr Author I wonder if that replica comes with a GI-Joe-sized Andy the Clown. LMAO! I am actually thinking it should come with scale sized versions of Ribbie and Rhubarb.
February 16, 200422 yr Wow, what a waste of money that would be. No kidding for $5K I could buy a couple of season tickets, instead of staring at that for the rest of my life
February 16, 200422 yr You guys should check this out. I think it is kind of cool. REAL pricey, but cool none the less. It is a replice of Old Comiskey. Old Comiskey on E-Bay Real pricey is right.... thats why nowone has bid on it.
February 16, 200422 yr Real pricey is right.... thats why nowone has bid on it. And I don't know if this guy has built multiples of this, but I have seen this trying to be auctioned off before.
February 16, 200422 yr And I don't know if this guy has built multiples of this, but I have seen this trying to be auctioned off before. you beat me to it - this is on ebay annually at least
February 16, 200422 yr Author Nice. Let me check my couch cushions for the $5000. Just checked mine. WOO HOOO! Found 24 cents (cant even buy a damn gumball. lol) Only $4999.76 to go!
February 16, 200422 yr you beat me to it - this is on ebay annually at least Yea I saw it on there before and thought the same thing about the price. 5gs is an awful lot for that plastic model.
February 16, 200422 yr Author When i saw the auction on E-bay I got to thinking of something I saw in a Chicago Tribune Magazine that I saved a while back. I went looking fot it and found it. The guys name is Steve Wolf (he is a graphic artist from Buffalo Grove) and that is not his only other creation. He did a model of Wrigley Field which he sold to Murphy's Bleachers and he was finishing a model of Fenway at the time of the article. It took him over 4 years to finish the Wrogley Fiel model.
February 17, 200422 yr It took him over 4 years to finish the Wrogley Fiel model. Of course it did - can you imagine the time it took him to find enough beer and urine to pour over it to give it the proper smell? Talk about a "life's work."
