Prior injures achilles

Featured Replies

Prior out 5-10 days

This could be one of those nagging season long injuries.

Prior injured his achillies? Was it from when they nailed him on the cross?

Sorry, apologizing in advance, but I couldn't resist.

Nobody on the Cubs can get hurt they are all semi-gods.

FInally something negative in cubdom.

MESA, Ariz. -- Chicago Cubs pitcher Mark Prior will be sidelined at least five days because of an inflamed right Achilles tendon.

Prior, 23, suffered the injury in Spring Training camp. Cubs general manager Jim Hendry said Monday that Prior could be sidelined from five to 10 days. He has undergone an MRI and there is no tear, Hendry said.

"He was in great shape when he got here," Hendry said. "We've just got to make sure he's 100 percent."

Prior, 18-6 with a 2.43 ERA last season, is entering his third big league season.

Can you say "CHOKE!!!"

Very ironic.

I curse Prior all year long.

I take Prior with the 7th pick in my fantasy draft.

Prior suffers an achilles injury the very next day.

hey if it costs the cubs their season I won't mind if Prior crashes and burns.

Maybe I should take Prior, with my history of fantasy sports luck he is doomed. :D Just to name a few guys who's career I ruined or set back: Terrell Davis, Kurt Warner, Mike Vick, Jamal Anderson (him and Davis go down the same year, what are the odds), Grant Hill, and Jon Lieber. There have been others, thats just off the top of my head.

and so the cubs collapse begins......

THATS RIGHT! :fthecubs
