Bulls Release Blount

Featured Replies

CHICAGO - The Chicago Bulls on Tuesday waived forward Corie Blount, three days after he was placed on the injured list.

Blount suffered a left knee sprain in practice Friday after teammate Eddy Curry fell on him and was placed on the injured list the following day.

Blount was averaging 4.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 46 games this season, including three starts. He was shooting 47 percent from the field.

i thought that cory was playing great this year and his shot was always on. I guess this was a bad injury, thats the only reason i can think of releasing him

I think they are gonna try and sign Lonny Baxter because Toronto released him.

ya i thought he was having a nice year off the bench. must have been a pretty bad injury.

:huh This doesn't make any sense at all. He must have gotten into it with someone.

Damn Murcie can't yell abuse at him no more.

Corie was playing great ball, I didnt really see this as too much of an injury either...Another reason I can think of is that the season is done...Let guys like Fizer step up at PF...Or sign a youngster like a Baxter..

Adios.

"BLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOunt"

Shockingly, I learned to like Blount...I liked him a lot more then JYD and well he's a hell of a lot better then Rick Brunson.
