Sox-Cubs Tickets?

Featured Replies

I definitely wanna go to one of the games at the cell this year. I was looking on Ebay, some of thos prices are insane. I think I remember someone saying that some tickets will go on sale later, so should I try and get some on Ebay or wait until they go on sale, if they go on sale?

Check out www.stubhub.com...it shows they still have some Sox and Cubs tix.

not really up for paying $100 a ticket for bleacher seats :puke

Wait until it gets closer to the game. The prices will go down.

That is a tough gamble right now. If the Cubs, Sox, or both are playing really well, the prices won't come down.

I would think for that series you will pay and pay big.

No matter what the teams records are that series is always hot. Every year I have seen the prices go down to near face the day before the game. It's the scramble not to get stuck with them.

I recall last month when I was b****ing about the lack of availability for single game Sox-Cubs tickets and you said they (White Sox) would sell remaining seats at a later time. Well, has this day passed unnoticed or have they already sold out the three games?

From what I understand they have not released them yet. And they are not sold out via season ticket holders.

well, then i guess I'll just wait until they do. Hopefully I won't miss 'em.

I've gotten extras from ebay the last 3 years and stub hub last year.. the uppers from ebay I didn't pay over $60 a seat, and the stub hub ones last yeat I paid $95 for section 115. It's a gamble either way. I've had good luck waiting. However they aren't for me personally so I'm not in a rush to get them anyway.

Anyone registered on the Sox site will probably get an email. Look out for that, and I'll post if I hear when they are selling them.

I have (crappy) Upper Deck seats for each of the 3 games; I think I'm gonna go to the Sunday game, but I'll sell the tix for the other 2 games.

I will post the particulars. i.e. seat locations, prices, when I get home, (the tickets are there!).

One thing that is a gamble, but it worked for me a couple of times on some big games last year. On game day, if you get to the ticket window REAL EARLY before it opens up, Many times there will be VIP tickets available.(Call the day before and you might get more onfo ). Available VIP tickets never go on sale before the day of the game. VIP tickets are usually lower deck somewhere between the 2 dugouts and cost around 6 dollars more than a regular lower deck box seat. If you go yourself, your chances are even better. Not sure how successful it will be on Cubs game, but if all else fails, it may be worth a long shot.

Good advice. I would just hate to drive down to the Cubs-Sox game and walk away without tickets.

Unfortunately, that's the gamble. The reason to call first, is I'm not sure if the VIP's go on sale right when the ticket windows open up, or a specified time before the game. If they sell them early in the day, you don't have to worry about paying for parking and not wondering if you'll walk away empty handed. If there is a specified time, then you may want to find a place to park where you won't have to pay "just in case!!!!!"

I'd also like to purchase some tickets to this series. I can't gamble of gameday availability as I live 385 miles away. I would prefer Friday and/or Saturday tickets, but will settle for Sunday if I have to. I need a pair per game.

Yeah, my dad bought some from their...

I have some admitted crappy seats; Saturday, 6/26, Section 554, Row 21, Seats11 and 12. Sunday the 27th, Section 555, Row 5, Seats 1 and 2.

They are $25.00 apiece if you are interested.
