Inquiry into Israel's Use

snip --

A photograph of a Palestinian boy tied to an Israeli police jeep has been handed to justice officials charged with investigating complaints over the use of "human shields" against demonstrators.

The boy, 13-year-old Mohammed Bedwan, and three adult protesters were tied to border police vehicles last week during one of what have become almost daily demonstrations against the routing of the Israeli government's barrier through Palestinian land.

And as for your claim I4E that Palestinians always use civilians to advance their cause...choke on this little piece of information:

The [israeli] Supreme Court barred the use of Palestinians as human shields in 2002 after an incident in which soldiers forced the neighbor of a suspected militant to knock on his door and deliver their ultimatum to surrender. The militant shot and killed the man.

4E, you will not believe anything if it is anti-Israel and will believe anything that is Anti-Palestinian. You both are the same, almost like twin brothers.

4E, I'm finding some fairly mainstream Israel puplications also speaking about this. It is old news, mostly from 2002 when the High Court was asked to render a judgement.

I have read lots of articles, books, etc, on this subject, written from both a pro-Israel as well as from an anti-Israel point of view.

It is from these sources that I formulated MY (not yours or anyone elses') opinion...that is, that the "Palis" are wrong, they are trying to steal Israel from the Jews.

The difference between me and APu is that he obviously ONLY looks at "resources" that are ultra-ultra-ultra liberal AND anti-Israel. (Have you seen HIS website? :headshake )

BTW...Haaretz is a (too) liberal Israeli publication...take that article with a grain of salt. (The btselem.org site is anti-Likud/anti-Israel, and the Brit media is 100% pro-"Pali"...I don't put much credence in any of these sources.) (Again, just my humble opinion.)

How about CNN? US Anti-Israel?

Australia?

I have a hard time believing that they haven't used Palistinians. Wouldn't it be collateral damage? Who cares if a Pali dies if it takes out a Hamas leader?

1. Don't think for a minute that CNN is "fair and accurate"! They are a VERY liberal news outlet, and they are pro-"pali"!

2. Using "pali" children as human shields would NOT work for Israel, "Palis" routinely kill their own, why would they not shoot at a "pali human shield"?

3. Check out how many times Australia has voted "pro-Israel" re. the UN! (Not too many.)

ha ha ha :D So the only sources that are accurate are the ones that agree with you. :D Why am I not surprised. :lolhitting

4E,

Is there any crime in Israel? Does any Israeli citizen steal, speed, burgler, extort, murder, domestic violence? Or are the only crimes committed in Israel by palis against Israel?

You loyalty is wonderful. American Soldiers has committed crimes and been punished by US military law (My Lai fir example). Why don't Israeli soldiers commit any crimes? Why can't the US get great soldiers like Israel?

No, Jews are pure. That's why Adonai chose them to rule over the animal kingdom, quite frankly.

4E, Once again you are wrong about a nation this time it's Australia who you said always votes against Israel.

UNITED NATIONS - The United States used its political muscle Tuesday to thwart an unequivocal condemnation of Israel for the targeted assassination of a wheel-chair bound Palestinian described as the spiritual leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas.

In Geneva, the U.N. Commission on Human Rights voted to hold a special session on Wednesday to consider the killing. Thirty-four states voted for the meeting, 14 abstained from the vote and three, the United States, Australia and Eritrea, voted against.

LMAO, again.

I keep trying to catch APU in a misquote, he's a lot tougher.

Almost no country could be 100% on one side of this. Making a blanket statement that someone or some country is "always" this or that is such an easy comment to prove wrong.

There is an interesting piece I stumbled across that points out that the UN refelect the world and has a lot of third world countries would are not friendly to the US/Israel. 4E is correct in that much of the world is lined up against Israel. But of course Israel doesn't need anyone they have the US.

One more, this one is perfect

UN rights group condemns Israel for Yassin killing

Jeannie Shawl on 3/24/2004 11:28:23 AM

The UN Commission on Human Rights passed a resolution Wednesday condemning Israel for its targeted killing of Hamas leader Ahmed Yassin in a pre-dawn air strike in Gaza Monday. The resolution, proposed by the Organization of the Islamic Conference, Cuba and Zimbabwe, passed by a 31-2 vote, with the US and Australia voting against it. Israel's Ambassador said that countries are eager to divert attention from their own human rights record by engaging in "Israel-bashing." AP has more. The Commission resolution follows a UN Security Council meeting in New York Tuesday evening (previously reported on JURIST's Paper Chase) in which most speakers also condemned the killing.

:lolhitting I guess this was a vote against Israel :D

But when they condem Israel for using human shields they undo all this and become liers.

Exactly.

I've always thought Tex looked and talked like a deadringer for a Hamas operative.

:lolhitting

:D Except I'm a dove. I think they would throw me out when I propose stopping the violence and start negotiating.

Yeah, stop bashing those poor misunderstood, human shield-using Israelis, Apu

btw, where is that Alan Moore quote from, and is that the comic writing Alan Moore or somebody else?

It is comic writing Alan Moore whose is quoted in the sig.

As for I4E, he doesn't dispute the claim that is goes on but as long as the kid isn't struggling to get free it's alright? What the f*** sort of logic is that? And could he not be struggling because there are a bunch of thugs with M16s around him ready to kick his ass...maybe that's the reason.

"According to Amnesty International, more than 50 children under the age of 12 have been killed by Israeli army fire, during the first seven months of 2002 alone. You have not sentenced even one of the perpetrators of these crimes. But you're sentencing me...just because I refuse to take part in such activities."

That quote was from Jonathan Ben Artzi, a reservist refusing to serve in the occupied territories, addressing the IDF. He is also known as the nephew of Israeli Foreign Minister and former Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. But I guess that's just another anti-Semitic HAMAS lover, huh.

And a quote from Amnesty International from Sept. 30, 2002: "In 2002 the majority were those children killed when the IDF randomly opened fire, or shelled or bombarded residential neighborhoods in Palestinian towns and villages. Most of these children were killed when there was no exchange of fire and in circumstances in which the lives of the soldiers were not at risk."

Or how about a quote from an Israeli father (Rami Elhanan) who lost his child to a suicide bomber in 1997: "Our daughter was killed because of the terror of the Israeli occupation. Every innocent victim from both sides is a victim of the occupation. The occupation is the cancer feeding Palestinian terror." (from the June 29, 2002 newspaper "The Mirror")
