April 28, 200421 yr Our pitching has just plain gotten their butts kicked at US Cellular field. 5.52 ERA at home.
April 28, 200421 yr The Sox play in a bandbox. It is to be expected. Is that what it is? I am gussing those 6 HR Show gave up today were definately park-aided.

April 28, 200421 yr 6HR's? no -- but with anything but that little league defense we've played today behind him, only one would have crossed the plate.
April 28, 200421 yr 6 HRs? Exactly. Nothing to do with USCF and everything to do with Garland and Show SUCKING.
April 28, 200421 yr Exactly. Nothing to do with USCF and everything to do with Garland and Show SUCKING. Or the defense being really, really bad behind him. Count the number of HRs the Sox have hit, that wouldn't have gone out of most parks.
April 28, 200421 yr Or the defense being really, really bad behind him. Maybe he shouldn't have runners in scoring position every inning and throw 3-1/3-2 cookies to every batter. Count the number of HRs the Sox have hit, that wouldn't have gone out of most parks. Very few, if any. The fence is 335 feet -- same as most parks. Then count how many times the wind held the ball in the park in CF. Konerko's ball for instance. USCF is a hitter's park......but Loaiza, Buerhle, Garland and Show getting their ass handed to them against KC, TB and Cle had nothing to do with it. They sucked. It was a matter of time before their luck dried up. Most of those homers were WAY out of the park. They got slapped around. Belliard is a mediocre hitter at best. Way to make him look like an MVP.

I won't argue about f***ing Belliard. This guy will never hit s*** again, but he lights us up like a Christmas tree. The parks small dimensions are felt mainly in the alleys. Plus it just seems like there is a windtunnel affect down the lines. I really wonder if the correct distances are on the walls, because it sure doesn't play like that long.

Agreed. You can't continue to fall behind in counts and walk batters and think you're gonna get away with it. Our pitching staff just got lucky in the begining of the season and faced slumping Yankees and TB.
