May 1, 200421 yr Yeah, Adams may be old, but he made three great pitches on Gload. The best he could do with the first two would be to foul them off, the last one was just tough if you haven't seen his curve yet.

Even though this is cliche, even the BEST hitters fail 7 times out of every 10 at-bats. Remember this - Gload is a BENCH player. And for the record, Ross Gload, that BENCH player, has 10 RBI's on the season, which happens to be more RBI's than Frank Thomas and Carlos Lee have for the season. Put that in your pipe and puff it.
