May 8, 200422 yr I get the BA Prospect Report e-mail everyday and am always stunned to see Weaver's line's and this one is no different: J.Weaver (W,13-0) 9.0 2 0 0 0 17 - 115 pitches; 163/13 K/BB in 104.1 IP He'll fit in just great with Peavy and Lawrence in San Diego. Wonder how long it will actually take him before he's in the major's from the time he gets drafted?
May 8, 200422 yr Yep and he's absolutely filthy. Watching him pitch twice now I'm still amazed at all he has to offer. Although he has had a few not as good starts lately, well until this one.

May 9, 200422 yr I think Weaver will pitch as soon as possible for the Padres, Peavy and Weaver will be BIG cornerstones for this franchise for years to come.
May 9, 200422 yr Hopefully he has a better head on his shoulders than Jeff does. That is the one thing that keeps Weaver from being an ace.
