He said he has been around MLB for 40 years and he doesn't even know the game. Basically said with all the complexities, no one knows the game. It wasn't meant as a putdown.

They were talking about how with almost 70 years of baseball experience between them, they are still seeing things that they have never seen before. IMO you making a mountian out of nothing here B.

Hawk said soemthing along the lines of: "You didn't know anything about baseball back then, and you don't know anything about it now. Guys like you, Bernstein, and Mariotti don't know a damn thing about it." But Boers has been firing back with some major firepower. Hawk was even studdering.
