Old Socks
Too early to start thinking about signing this kid for a few years??? I think he is arbitration eligible next year. He is a classic case of a young player brought up too soon (by the Rockies). Straight from A Ball. Looks as if he has his s*** together, but he had fast starts in Colorado, too, but nothing like this. He is a very talented kid. I don't want to brag or anything, but back in ST I predicted he would be starting by the end of April. I did not foresee this kind of versatility, however. Ozzie has been perfect for this kid. Hate to burst your bubble, but a lot of people thought that with the uncertainty of Willie Harris.
Jordan4life_2007
He's been our MVP
Old Socks
Mr. Dylan, I did not see evidence of that sentiment on this board. Most of you all did not like the Uribe/Miles trade. I had the benefit of seeing Uribe play for the last three yrs in Colorado, and I liked his talent. I thought he would put Jose right to the bench (in March). And I said so. Nothing to do with Willie. Ozzie lhas done a great job of managing those guys.
greg775
Hi, I'll admit I wasn't a fan of the trade. I feared he would be a bust. KW is starting to emerge it appears!
aboz56
Don't force the issue, if he does this all year, give him a decent deal, nothing yet though.

I think I speak for everyone when I say that you are a genius.

AngelasDaddy0427
Uribe has been awsome this year but then again so has Harris. Harris and Uribe are a perfect 1,2 punch and we can go pretty far on both of them. Rowand is coming around himself and if Crede keeps bumbling and AROW keeps coming around we might just be seeing Uribe as our 3B and AROW back in CF (As he should be as he is the best defensive option)

He's too talented to struggle like this for too much longer.
k3nn3th
yeah joe has too much raw talent to slump for too long. he'll pick it up
AngelasDaddy0427
I'm sure that he will pick it up eventually. However I think a week off might do him some good. Right now you can tell that his swing is just a mess.

Jordan4life_2007
``This kid will be in the lineup no matter if he has to be behind the plate,'' Chicago manager Ozzie Guillen said. ``I never thought my best hitter was going to be Uribe when I got this job.And he is right now.''
