June 1, 200421 yr I want KW to bring in a 5th starter like everybody else here does but lets hope he doesn't make a bad deal in the interest of making a quick deal. I can handle overpaying somewhat as this is a really weak area for us but hopefully he wont settle for just anybody when he pulls the trigger.

I hope we get Livan Hernandez...Montreal isn't going anywhere..and he's due only to make 4 mill this year..more in the next 2 though under his 3 year deal.. but I think the Expos will bite..They can have Jon Rauch
June 1, 200421 yr KW will not jump to any deals. Whoever we get, we'll all be happy. He'll take his time with the deal and look at other possibilities and only take an offer that will benefit us.

June 1, 200421 yr I don't want to see Kenny get a 5th starter...I want to see Kenny get a #1 or #2. We can't count on our current staff to pitch at the level they have all season long. We need to go all out and get a stud, regardless of price. If we end up with a Kris Benson or Odalis Perez I will be extremely disappointed.

Livan Hernandez is very good, in fact, probably a number two. Last year he posted a 3.20 ERA in rougly 230 innings of work, 178 Ks. If we could get Armas Jr for Rauch, like someone said in another thread, I'd do it instantly.

He needs to build this team for next year when they will actually have fan support and can count on adding to the core of the team Livian and their 2nd B (forget his name) are part of their core (not sure about Biddle )
