BobDylan
I haven't read the trib in a few days...but is there a Magglio Ordonez watch yet? I know it's quite a stupid thing to bring up, but Magglio is established as probably the best player in this city...
IlliniKrush
Yes, best player in this city behind every Cub, and some of their AAA players. LMAO, nice call.
SoxAce
If there's a Mark Prior watch, then there has to be a Magglio Ordonez watch.
NUKE_CLEVELAND
If there's a Mark Prior watch, then there has to be a Magglio Ordonez watch. Does that mean the Chicago Media is gonna follow him around through his rehab assignments like a bunch of teenage girl groupies? I doubt it. It'll be more like : "Magglio who? Oh yeah, he's in the lineup tonight."
Flash Tizzle
If there's a Mark Prior watch, then there has to be a Magglio Ordonez watch. There should be no excuses why a Maggs watch isn't within the Tribune. Right now they are giving the updates on Magglios condition, but we'll see in a few weeks if reports continue Not that it matters to me if the Tribune reports Maggs progression through his injury, I just feel (as you do) that a space should be devoted to such a talented player. danman31
If there's a Mark Prior watch, then there has to be a Magglio Ordonez watch. To be fair they don't have a Sosa watch. Prior is the best player in this city, no question. Anyone who thinks otherwise is biased.
BobDylan
To be fair they don't have a Sosa watch. Prior is the best player in this city, no question. Anyone who thinks otherwise is biased. No question? Bull s***. He's not even one year removed from his first full season and he's already riding the DL train. Magglio Ordonez is a four time all-star and has never had a history of riding the DL for prolonged periods of time. Come tell me Prior is a better player than Maggs when he plays everyday, doesn't ride the DL for half a season and is a 4 time all-star. Untill then, Prior isn't even the best pitcher in Chicago. And the reason there is no Sosa watch is because he has no creditability in this town anymore. Cheaters never win.
AngelasDaddy0427
All I know is Get Well Soon Maggs! We could use you on our World Series run!
danman31
Dylan- Sosa is the RF star of the Cubs. He puts up good numbers whether you like it or not. I personally hate him and would not want him on my team. My point was that the comparison would be more fairly to Sosa. Regardless, Maggs is the best hitter in town. Prior is the best pitcher. I'd rather have Prior than Maggs.

Sosa isn't the best RFer in this town, and there can be arguments made that he's not even a top five player in this city anymore. Magglio is the best player in Chicago, yet the Tribune gives Prior the benefit of the doubt? The bastard has pitched one full season for christ sakes. YASNY
Is it really important that there be a Maggio Ordonez watch? Sure, it was a nice call to start the thread. Good for a laugh, even. But do you really expect something like that?

Magglio's also not rehabbing in the minors ;o
