Ordonez placed on DL

The quicker we can get him on there, the quicker we can get him to recover. We'll really need Mags back for the stretch run.

Its the right move. There's no guarantee he'd be able to play through the pain, and even if he could, how effective he would be. Also he might have hurt something else compensating for this injury. Hopefully, it will be closer to 4 weeks.

The key thing is that Magglio can come off the DL at home against the Phillies, as he was placed on the disabled list retroactive to May 26.

:crying :sigh:

Alright guys - time to step up!

So he can come off the DL for the Phillies but even then he wont be ready for a few weeks correct ??

He won't be coming off the DL until he is ready.

What he meant is that he is ELIGIBLE to come off the DL by then, but he will likely be out 4-7 weeks and they won't activate him until the day he is ready to play.

Thanks thats what i thought.
