Since the Polish Hammer Borowski obviously cant cut it for them how bout trying to cut a deal with them involving Botch and someone else to rape them out of one of their starters?

Frankly, the Cubs are quite happy with Borowski. Its just a struggle, and struggles can be fixed so easily...no need for any trade of that magnitude. Cubs wouldn't trade with us anyway---especially with Interleague coming up.

Most triple a teams would not want koch.

The hell would the Cubs care about interleague play? If they can improve with a trade, why wouldn't they make it? Albeit, they probably don't see Koch as an improvement over anything.

P.S. Garland is a former Cub. Sosa is a former Sox. The Cubs have, and will trade with us.

He has only saved 47 out of 67 chances roughly 70 percent. Closers are suppose to save near 80 percent of there chances if not better.

That's not exactly accurate, though. I'm sure most of those "blown" saves were in the 6th, 7th and 8th before he was ever the official "closer." Actually he was quite successful when he was in the roll of closer.

Actually, the only year the Twins tried Hawkins as closer was 2001, and he was awful. Something like 5.97 ERA and a WHIP of around 1.96 as well as 7-10 blown saves. Kelly keeping Hawkins in the closer role as long as he did probably cost the Twins the division that year.

However, he was s***ty before that too. Once he settled into the setup role, he just clicked, and he was fine. I'd have no problem putting Hawkins in the closer's role right now personally. He doesn't pitch for us, but no matter...I'd do it anyways.
