Frankly, the Cubs are quite happy with Borowski. Its just a struggle, and struggles can be fixed so easily...no need for any trade of that magnitude. The hell would the Cubs care about interleague play? If they can improve with a trade, why wouldn't they make it? Albeit, they probably don't see Koch as an improvement over anything. P.S. That's not exactly accurate, though. I'm sure most of those "blown" saves were in the 6th, 7th and 8th before he was ever the official "closer." Actually, the only year the Twins tried Hawkins as closer was 2001, and he was awful. Something like 5.97 ERA and a WHIP of around 1.96 as well as 7-10 blown saves. Kelly keeping Hawkins in the closer role as long as he did probably cost the Twins the division that year. However, he was s***ty before that too. Once he settled into the setup role, he just clicked, and he was fine. I'd have no problem putting Hawkins in the closer's role right now personally.
