According to this article it was a "little flap tear" of the medial meniscus in his left knee but very painful.. Here it is.

Maggs with successful surgery

During the course of Alomar's 17-year career, he has gone through 10 arthroscopic procedures.

:o That's a s***load of surgeries there..

The Sox don’t look the same when Maggs is absent. He’ll have allot of cheers and applauds when he comes back from the DL.

Maggs, get well soon buddy! GL with the rehab! :headbang

if maggs is gonna be out 1 - 2 months I think we should think about acquiring a bat.. I dont know how hard it would be to get steve Finley from Arizona, but I mean were gonna need something for this stretch were going into here because it will kill us to fall back far without Maggs..

Finley could play RF while Willie stays in CF... that would be nice, and then when Maggs come back Uribe can play 3rd, Willie at 2nd, Fin in CF and Maggs back in right which would help us tremendously

And he is still batting .280

And can't throw or get on base to save his life....

 I hope Maggs gets back soon....

In the mean time just put AROW in RF and leave him there.

Even if Arow only continues to bat around .260 i'm still much rather have that with some heart behind it then Timo hitting .240 while doggin it.
