Help Wanted

Featured Replies

I'm currently looking for help at WhiteSoxCentral.com. There are a few job's that I'd like people to do, but I should say it is purely volunteer work.

Here are some of the things I'm looking for:

Comedy Columns:

I found a writer to do this today, but it'd be great to have a second. Essentially I'm looking for articles that speak of the White Sox in funny ways. Be it a fake ad campaign, or a play that scripts what White Sox players say. Creativite minds, basically.

News Reporters:

I do all the recaps and main news stories, but I'd like to have people that can report the other news. For instance, WSC never reported that Magglio underwent surgery. I would have had I had time to write something up, but in the real world, I don't.

Main Feature Writers:

For this, I'd like to do big features on certain White Sox related topics. For instance, a giant homage to Hawk Harrelson. Go over his playing career, his broadcasting career, note out his GM stint, etc. These would be special pages. I would go through and design special pages for the appropriate topic.

Stat Guru's:

Any number crunchers out there? I'd love to have somebody that can go through the numbers and tell us statistical information we don't know, or are too lazy too look up ourself. It'd be great if WSC could have Billy Koch nailed down into one article...stuff like that.

Creative Columnists:

WSC has plenty of columnists that can write up a column and talk about why Guillen is a genius or an idiot for this or that. However, how about a columnist that can give us some creative entertainment? ESPN's page 2 just did a column on the Chicago Curse and rated the 10 ten reasons why. That's pretty creative and quite entertaining.

Anyways, I know I probably won't get boat loads of people that want to do this stuff, but if you are interested in doing any of the above, or want more info, e-mail me at jongruden3@hotmail.com or send me a private message. I can also be had on AIM at Bob Dylan RH.

Thanks!

can't write, but i can dance...

I could possibly get some bios for old players.

I would look forward to reading that.

BTW, Bob, I could probably do some of that stuff. Not sure what, but I could something.

I have freelanced for newspaper and magazines before. I cannot commit to any sort of regular feature of column. If you have a specific topic and style sheet or guidelines PM me and I'll see if I have the time.

I am ready for the site! As you can see, Mr. AL Central reporter and Columnist is geared up!
