* Official Game Thread* Sox vs. Braves Game 1

Featured Replies

Pitching matchup

CHI: LHP Scott Schoeneweis

  • 5-3, 3.89 ERA in 2004
  • Has never faced Atlanta
ATL: RHP Jaret Wright

  • 4-5, 3.94 ERA in 2004
  • Did not face White Sox in 2003
  • 2-2, 6.50 lifetime vs. CHI
Prediction of how long Schoeneweis will last: 7+ innings

Prediction of how long Wright will last: 5+ innings

If the Cubs were capable of beating the Braves in the playoffs (who was a playoff team last year) than we can do the same.

May the force be with Schoeneweis and the Sox.

They've struggled hitting...

Randy's perfect game came against them, as did Sheet's 18 K game. As long as the bats show up this weekend, the pitchers should be able to handle their line-up.

I think Schoenweis will be fine tonight. 7 innings 2 ER.

This game is big for the white sox, we need to set a good tone considering the way we have been playing for the past week and a half. GO SOX

He's been a little shakey lately, though. I hope he rights himself against the Braves. The way they hit, they're certainly the right team for him to be facing right now.

Don't jinx them, you don't want to become DJ Do you?

Take your walks against Jaret Wright, that's all i have to say. You'll have a big inning handed to you.

Errr... I mean, Scho' been shakey lately and it doesn't look good against the hard hitting Braves!

Patience is definitely the key against Wright. He's wild with mistakes here and there. TAKE ADVANTAGE!
